As part of our ongoing relationship with Windermere Marina, we were invited to be part of the all-new design and build team, from the off we engaged with the clients from the beginning to get a full understanding of the new Electrical system they required. We carried out the full electrical design and product specification, and from there our installation teams worked seamlessly to deliver this project as a phased build alongside other contractors, ensuring Marina’s daily operations were not affected.
Our work involved installing thousands of meters of cabling within the new pontoon service duct, to the latest state-of-the-art service pedestals, and alongside bespoke designed and manufactured in-deck connection units.
The Marina pontoon lighting was key to safety around the marina for all uses, however, we wanted to consider the environment around the lake and ensure we minimised light pollution where possible. It was trialled and reviewed and decided that we would use low-level indeck service lighting with directional diffusers to optimise the lighting output and direction.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Windermere Marina Village on this project and we look forward to working with them for many more years to come.
